Dear Old Friend

Dear old friend, I hope this letter gets to you, I hope you are doing well and you are safe, regardless of being miles apart. Dear old friend, I love you. 

I look around and all I can see are familiar faces, 

I look again, searching for just one strange face 

but still, all I see are familiar faces. 

Grinning with those fake smiles, arms at length for an  

embrace, 

but beware Dear Old Friend their aim may be to slow 

your pace.  

 

Remember, you are that one who never gives up even in your most  

frazzled State, 

You may eat all that is on your plate but not any of your faith,  

They may call you slow and wimpy, but really  

you do not need to dictate, 

That what you are is greater than what they will ever be because  

you are no subordinate.  

 

You are strong, you are that bird that soars so high above the sky, 

You are determined and focused and no matter what you will seize  

to cry 

but Dear Old Friend what you should never forget to say to them is GOOD BYE!
